This plan will help you and your family prepare for evacuation. It includes valuable information about developing a family plan, what steps to take inside and outside your home, and what to do if trapped by fire. A description of “One Way Evacuation” is provided and language used by public safety personnel during an evacuation is explained.

Describes the most important personal items to be prepared to take during an evacuation. Choices are based on how long you have to prepare and helps you to identify the items you would not want to lose to a wildfire.

Every household (or each person in a household) should pack a Go Bag – a collection of items you may need in the event of an evacuation. A Go Bag should be packed in a sturdy, easy-to-carry container such as a backpack or suitcase on wheels. A Go Bag should be easily accessible if you have to leave your home in a hurry. Make sure it is ready to go at all times of the year. Some people keep a bag in each of their vehicles.
